It is more cost effectively to use the softer aluminium moulds than the hardened steel one to do the low-volume injection moulding, the softer moulds are usually simpler and less expensive to produce and are obviously not as durable as their hardened steel counterparts, but it is strong enough to deal with the small batch production of the quantity less than 10K. Soft moulds can lower tooling costs and shorten production times for testing new developed project or short run production.
